What makes this venue special is the unique way that the crowd interacts on the lawn. Some of the staff’s favorite shows from last season included the bluegrass stylings of Yo-Yo Ma. On cooler evenings the sound pierces through the terrace and patio air in a distinguished way.
For Maroon 5’s show the pop act sounded more like a jam band extending three minute tunes into ten-minute performances. Those lucky enough to catch the band’s rehearsals knew they were in for a treat when they practiced longer than any group in recent memory.
